30th July is the National Day against Trafficking in Persons in Viet Nam. This date coincides with the United Nations World Day against Trafficking in Persons that was established to raise awareness of the plight of trafficked victims, and to promote their rights.

IOM is the proud co-chair of the Counter Trafficking Network in Viet Nam, in conjunction with the United Nations Action for Cooperation against Trafficking in Persons (UN-ACT).

Together, The Counter Trafficking Network, which includes representatives from United Nations agencies, Embassies, non-governmental organizations and civil society, issues this joint statement to mark Viet Nam’s National Day Against Trafficking in Persons on 30th July 2017.
