Deliver the information and policies against irregular migration from Vietnam to Australia by boat
Quang Binh, 14th April 2016
On 14th April, IOM Viet Nam, in cooperation with Provincial Border Guard, organized a community outreach event in Quang Phu commune, Dong Hoi City of Quang Binh province to deliver the information and policies against irregular migration from Vietnam to Australia by boat, avoiding being cheated or involved in irregular migration activities.
These events proudly witnessed the presence of Mr. Mark Sandell, Second Secretary, and Ms. Ngo Thi Oanh, Integrity Officer, from Australian Embassy as well as Mr. David Knight, Chief of Mission, and Ms. Do Thi Thanh Mai, Project Officer, from IOM Viet Nam.
Through a drama and performances prepared by local artists, the message about Australian immigration policies and ways against irregular migration from Vietnam to Australia by boat was delivered to residents. Leaders of local authorities and concerned organizations also participated in these community events, showing their commitment in collaboration and responses to prevent this irregular migration.
