Our WorkAs the leading inter-governmental organization promoting since 1951 humane and orderly migration, IOM plays a key role to support the achievement of the 2030 Agenda through different areas of intervention that connect both humanitarian assistance and sustainable development. Across Viet Nam, IOM is concerned with the welfare and quality of life of the Vietnamese people, particularly migrant and mobile populations.

The Head of Office of IOM HCMC – paid a visit as a guest speaker at The American School
On Thursday March 22, 2018, Mr. Mark Alan Brown – the Head of Office of IOM HCMC – paid a visit as a guest speaker for a group of over 50 G7-9 students (ages from 11-15) plus several Social Sciences teachers to The American School.
He talked about IOM’s place and role towards the migration issue in the world and also shared with the students his experience on migration, human trafficking, and other refugee supporting activities.
The school’s teachers and students were lively and engaged in the discussion as well as asks a lot of questions about migration happening in the world and how they could get involved in those activities, especially while living here in Vietnam.
