Our WorkAs the leading inter-governmental organization promoting since 1951 humane and orderly migration, IOM plays a key role to support the achievement of the 2030 Agenda through different areas of intervention that connect both humanitarian assistance and sustainable development. Across Viet Nam, IOM is concerned with the welfare and quality of life of the Vietnamese people, particularly migrant and mobile populations.

IOM chaired the counter-trafficking network meeting in Viet Nam
Hanoi, 16 December 2016
In the morning of December 16, representatives from IOM Viet Nam participated and chaired the Counter-Trafficking Network meeting at United Nations House in Viet Nam.
The total of 20 participants from 11 different organizations actively exchanged information of current activities and shared about their plans in the upcoming year. In addition, they also discussed ideas about joint programs, supporting victims of trafficking, and combating against trafficking from national level to local one.
This is a periodic event to enhance the cooperation among various organizations in ending modern slavery together.
