Our WorkAs the leading inter-governmental organization promoting since 1951 humane and orderly migration, IOM plays a key role to support the achievement of the 2030 Agenda through different areas of intervention that connect both humanitarian assistance and sustainable development. Across Viet Nam, IOM is concerned with the welfare and quality of life of the Vietnamese people, particularly migrant and mobile populations.

The IOM HCMC Head of Office,visited the city's Australian International School
On 08 February 2018, the IOM HCMC Head of Office, Mark Brown, visited the city's Australian International School. He was a guest speaker for Years 7-9 (ages 11-14) and Years 10 & 11 (ages 14-16). He talked to the students about IOM's place and role within the United Nations, migration in general, migration and Vietnam (particularly internal migration), trafficking in persons, and refugees. They were already studying related topics in their classes, and expressed appreciation for the real-world examples and experience.
