SKILLS DEVELOPMENT AND CERTIFICATION IN VIET NAM – HOW TO ENHANCE?
On Thursday (May 26), IOM Viet Nam organized the workshop "Skills Development and Certification in Viet Nam" at the Green One UN House.
Nearly 40 delegates from vocational training institutions of Ha Tinh, Nghe An, Ha Noi, some relevant Vietnamese agencies, the donor agency, and stakeholder organizations actively discussed issues related to vocational skills training in general and in particular for migrant workers as well as qualification system in Vietnam.
As part of the project "Poverty Reduction through Skills Development for Safe and Regular Migration in Cambodia, Lao PDR, Myanmar, Thailand and Vietnam” with the funding from the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), the workshop will kick-off a series of national-level consultations feeding into the overall design of an implementation framework of activities for the next four years.
