Workshop with the consular department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Hanoi

On December 5, IOM Viet Nam, in coordination with the Consular Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, successfully organized the workshop “Strengthening inter-agency coordination mechanism in migration data collection and sharing".
The workshop is one of the activities under the project “Strengthening the inter-agency cooperation between Relevant Agencies in Migration Management” implemented by the Consular Department with financial assistance from the IOM Development Fund (IDF) and technical support of IOM Viet Nam. The workshop received the participation of members of the Advisory Panel and representatives from various ministries and departments at central and provincial levels.
After the presentation of the consultant on the assessment of current migration data collection and sharing and other reports from different agencies, workshop participants actively shared and discussed their agency’s experience and gaps with the view to propose recommendations on strengthening the inter-agency coordination mechanism in this area.
