Our WorkAs the leading inter-governmental organization promoting since 1951 humane and orderly migration, IOM plays a key role to support the achievement of the 2030 Agenda through different areas of intervention that connect both humanitarian assistance and sustainable development. Across Viet Nam, IOM is concerned with the welfare and quality of life of the Vietnamese people, particularly migrant and mobile populations.

Binh Thuan, 10-11 April 2019 - Community empowerment is a cornerstone of safe and legal migration. During a two-day course, 34 peer-educators from Binh Thuan and Ba-Ria Vung-Tau provinces got hands-on knowledge on how to prevent irregular migration through individual and group consultations, different communication activities, and community dialogues. Participants will bring their newly acquired skills home and will share that knowledge with their peers a Community Dialogue and two Community Outreach Events during 23-24 April 2019 with assistance of IOM and Binh Thuan Border Guard.
